It’s All About Outdoor Camping!
Last weekend my family and I went camping. The weather was not cooperating at all. It rained the entire time we were there. The weather forecast said there was a 20 percent chance of rain. Ha Ha! The weatherman has miscalculated the weather again. More like 100% rain chance. So much for outdoor camping.
We couldn’t start a fire, roast marshmallows, unable to go fishing, hiking, or anything. We ended up having to play board games the three days we were there. It was miserable. Have you ever had a short vacation like this?
I have two Outdoor Camping Lanterns that I have used for years. It is always in my camping gear list to bring with us. The lamps work well, distributes an enormous amount of bright light. It has one drawback though it attracts bugs. All kinds of bugs show up after the lantern is lit. I use the lantern for fishing and camping. And it consistently draws bugs.
When I hooked it to the top of our family room to use play board games, no one noticed the bugs until we were ready to turn in. On the bug screen that is attached to the family room, the bugs had lined up like an army waiting for the feast. It was incredible. I couldn’t believe the number of bugs on the bug screen. My wife didn’t like bugs and began to panic. Thinking that the bugs were going to find a way to get into the room. Or worse into our sleeping quarters. I could sympathize with her because in my youth my friend and I decided to sleep on a beach in Florida and woke up with mosquito bites that were the size of a quarter.
I could sympathize with her because in my youth my friend and I decided to sleep on a beach in Florida and woke up with mosquito bites that were as large as a quarter. That was the first night after we arrived at St. Augustine and the rest of the trip we spent scratching those bites until they bled.
Well after a lot of complaining about the bugs and the lantern. I decided to check with my camping buddies about what types of lanterns or lights they use. And I was given all different kinds of suggestions. Some still used the bright white Coleman type lanterns, and others used yellow bug lights. My camping buddies said that they used the lantern for outside the trailer and the bug lights in the family rooms or inside the camper.
They all had great ideas and suggestions, but not one struck me as the choice I wanted to use. Having to pack two different items just meant more storage space that would be needed. And I was already pressed for space. I needed a light that would serve both purposes. It would have to be brilliant for use when cooking early in the morning or late at night. And have the versatility to use as a bug light. I want a light that the family can use when walking to the shower house, hiking, fishing or just for any outdoor activity. Without the fear of them getting burned or injured.
Now, is there a light that is made that can do this?

Order your HOYSO and the JOSO Lanterns they are perfect for camping, picnicking, hiking, fishing, and any outdoor activity you or your families needs. Makes a perfect gift and are available from Amazon.
I use both of these lanterns and are satisfied with their performance, and I can change the color to yellow or green, so the light doesn’t attract bugs. Or can switch the color to white to work. I can even set the mood for the night with the blue, red or pink colors. I love the variety of colors these two Lanterns have.
I give it 10 out of 10 rating.
If you have other suggestions for camp lighting, I would like to hear them.
